The Vietnamese Boat People left their homeland, risking their lives in the high seas for Freedom on foreign soils. That’s taking the risk between Life and Death yet truly making a right and admirable choice.
It’s also obvious that the Vietnamese People made life’s toughest decision to abandon their country in choosing Good over Evil, rejecting Cruelty in searching for Humanity, following the call of their Conscience.
Today’s dilemma for Vietnamese refugees who escaped the Communist Regime is HOW to exercise their freedom on the soil of their new homeland. In fact, do Vietnamese refugees still live with the conscience they carried with them or have they degenerated to abandon Good in their pursuit of Evil?
Following drastic changes on the US political arena we must be thrilled to witness Vietnamese-Americans reaching political maturity. Many have openly expressed their viewpoints with courage, freely choose their parties, actively participating in elections and supporting campaigns. Above all, many have joined the mainstream by running for & successfully getting elected to serve as local, state, and national elected officials.
However, it also saddened us to see some Vietnamese elites, successful business owners, former RVN officers, and young movers & shakers entering the mainstream express distorted visions as if they had lost their conscience, and fiercely defend Evil against Good. In pushing society down the deepended abyss they also destroy their own integrity.
First, these individuals refused to accept the President duly elected by the people, who has wholeheartedly dedicatedly served the US and the American people. They played all kinds of nasty games and tricks trying to impeach him out of envy and vendetta. Isn’t it clear as day that they have placed their party and personal interests above those of the country? Is there any doubt that they have chosen Evil over Good?
Demanding Justice is the right thing to do. However, they should not have supported and promoted anarchy, riots, violence, looting & killings...in the name of fighting for Justice, fighting against racism...Clamoring to “Defund Police”, boycotting the National Guards, refusing FBI Special troops responsible for Law and Order...have they not revealed their naked choice of Evil over Good?
Similarly, fighting against Racism is the right thing to do. All humans are born equal in every aspect, regardless of races, colors, genders, and occupations. One should not play games by claiming a particular race or color and kneel down to honor a criminal as if he were a saint, a hero for changing the world. They failed to conceal their sinister hidden motives of promoting hatred and widening the racial gap to further divide people. Isn’t that hypocritical? Isn’t that misleading people to abandon Good in support of Evil?
Again, it’s commendable to welcome unfortunate immigrants and continue our humanitarian tradition symbolizes by the Statue of Lady Liberty. Yet, ones must not risk border security in the name of humanitarian by removing national borders to welcome illegal immigrants, criminals, terrorists, and those who leech on society. Isn’t that choosing to support Evil while abandoning Good?
It’s totally acceptable for people to freely express different political views in a democratic society. However, no one has the rights to create an authority zone without law and order, to promote anarchy, to burn our US flag, to reject Federal authority, to change Washington D.C, our national capital into a Democrat state.
Isn’t that honoring Evil against Good?
Furthermore, validating history is the right thing to do. World history is trending toward humanity, civilization, and progress. Yet, one must not use the “validating history“ slogan to destroy historical landmarks, classic world cultural heritages...and to defame monuments of national heroes, our forefathers who made this nation the super power of the world today. In choosing to abolish our past and destroy our roots in favor of disintegration aren’t we abandoning Good for Evil?
And, fighting for women’s rights is the right thing to do. Nevertheless, one must not use “women’s rights” to promote abortion, destroying life before a baby is born. That’s to advocate for the right of choice for the mother and cruelly killing the unborn. Isn’t that murder? The Good has been crushed by Evil!
That’s not yet bringing up the political views of the Democrat presidential candidate who is playing every dirty trick to occupy the White House. The US has become the world’s superpower and all the American people have enjoyed a life of prosperity and abundance thanks to the US robust capitalist economy combined with advanced modern technologies, and a strong revival of noble nationalism.
Yet, the Democrat presidential candidate is being led by Extreme Leftists who aggressively demand to replace Capitalism with Socialism. He is following the same steps of collapsing Communist regimes that discarded industrial progress to return to primitive periods. He rejects gas, coal, and fracking, even electricity and modern conveniences. Isn’t that anti-progress, using Evil to suspress Good?
It’s necessary to bring up a detail about the relationship between the US and Vietnam. Naturally, both Republicans and Democrats uphold the US best interests but should refrain from trampling all over the interests of other nations, especially allies who had fought together on the same front.
Who was the one voted to cut off military aids, pushing South Vietnam to a dead zone? Who was the one voted against allowing Vietnamese refugees to resettle in the US the Spring of 1975 when South Vietnam was abandoned by its allies? Isn’t it the wicked heart that betrayed allied friends of the current Democrat presidential candidate?
Certainly some of the things I expressed today will upset many. Among these are dear colleagues and friends who have worked closely with me in numerous cultural, social, political, and community activities. Please kindly understand the reasons that compel me to speak up.
To know yet decide not to speak up is both irresponsible and dishonest toward others. To remain silent is co- conspiring. I sincerely hope whoever happens to read my message will please consider this the heartfelt thoughts of an individual exercising /enjoying his freedom of speech on this land of shelter. A person who still has his conscience to help distinguish Evil from Good, still able to identify tangibles from intangibles in the twilight zone of current US political mess.
May the torch of Lady Liberty shine bright to chase darkness away from this land of opportunities. The US soil has been built on tears, blood, and sweat of our many heroic forefathers in the names of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Regan...
Warmest wishes to all of you for Peace and Happiness. May President Trump’s words come true: “The United States is the bright torch leading the way for the whole world”.
